If you have already installed the HP software on the computer, you will have to to uninstall it using the cleanup utility from the following link

scroll down the web page and then click on ';Download only '; button and then click click save and save it on your desktop.


After download completes, double click on it to start the uninstallation. Restart the computer and then download the full featured software from the following link

Same click on download only and click save and save it on the desktop





If you installed Internet explorer 7 , there is compatability issue of HP Director with IE7. There is a patch available for download

try dowloading it online. Try finding it on the hp website...its should be under drivers or something like that. If not then try googling it. You should be able to find it.
