- First, carefully remove the paper tray.
- Let the last sheet feed through
- go to your computer, and open the printer section. Double click on your printer, then CANCEL ALL DOCUMENTS.
- back on the printer, you should have a CLEAR or RESET button.
- you might have to pull the power plug on the printer to be sure that it has cleared.
- look at the computer to see if the documents have cleared properly.
- plug the printer back in, and replace the paper tray. Hopefully, it has not started printing again.
Something interrupted the beginning of the printing job, so the page formatting commands did not go through. If this happens often, you might have to replace the printer cable (I guess that you are using an older Parallel printer cable).Hp LaserJet 1200 Printer Problems?

The drivers that have been installed have gone corrupt. Please visit HP.com and update your drivers. Alternatively, you can subscribe to the mailing list for drivers at HP and get automatic updates.
Junk characters are primarily due to driver problems.
