i have the same printer runing on xp, u can install the printer whit the hp 5L driver or try support and dowloads in hp website, here you will easy find the 6L driver for xp and it's near of 5 MB or a complete driver/app near of 20 MB.My HP LaserJet 6L Printer has some prob with windows XP instead of it being plug n play with XP,with 98 its ok
Win xp is plug %26amp; play o.s. u just remove all drivers of printer and re-install it. if it is not working then u can also do this procedure with win98 it will work.But both o.s. is sutailble for this printer.
