How do you scan with an hp all in one printer?

i have a scan button. and i have a program called windows photo gallery i use it to import pictures from my scanner. you just click on file import from camera or scanner and then click import a and ok a couple times and it will get your picture in your comp.How do you scan with an hp all in one printer?
you should have loaded the software that came with it then on the bottom right of tool bar you will have a hp icon.left the tray put your photo to the front right side photo face down click to scan now then fallow instruction.
